Job Summary:



We are currently seeking an Intern , with potential to be for one year. This Summer full-time position works for 37.5 hours per week, then flexible to part time once the academic year begins - Sept. They will be accountable for developing (a) a simple SharePoint portal for R&D Data Governance, (b) analyzing clinical data quality using tools such as SQL and Excel, and (c) developing machine learning and NLP-based tools for analyzing clinical data quality, consistency, and privacy. The position requires some familiarity with SQL databases and development, simple SharePoint or web development, and natural language processing and predictive analysis (NLP) development. Eagerness and ability to self-learn is highly important.

• Qualified candidates must have completed bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics or a related discipline.
  
  

• Experience with SQL development, data analysis using MS Excel, developing simple web portals and machine learning (NLP, predictive analytics) is required.
  
  

Responsibilities:


1 Develop simple (not database-driven) portal to host content for R&D Data Governance information and collateral such as documents, lists etc.


2 Analyze clinical and operational data quality and consistency using tools such as SQL and Excel (and Alteryx if possible).


3 Develop machine learning algorithms using techniques such natural language processing (NLP) and predictive analysis to analyze clinical and operational data quality, consistency, privacy etc.


4 Assist in various other related functions such as preparing documentation, taking meeting notes, plan and manage work, make presentations, etc.


5 Augment knowledge with self-driven learning.


Education/Experience:

• Qualified candidates must have completed bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics or a related discipline.
  
  


• Experience with SQL development, data analysis using MS Excel, developing simple web portals and machine learning (NLP, predictive analytics) is required.
  
  


• Prior academic or professional work experience is preferred; experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or with clinical data is a plus.
  
  


• Enthusiasm, eagerness to learn and take on responsibilities, and teamwork are essential qualities.
