Requirements and Description

Job Description

* Responsibiliti es Ensures proper conveyances set up to sort and distribute incoming bags.
* Reads and verifies the city and flight number for every bag to ensure correct loading of customer bags.
* Organizes and prioritizes baggage load for delivery to the proper aircraft for loading.
* Ensures compliance with all TSA, DOT, FAA, OSHA safety rules, regulations, and applicable laws.
* Accepts responsibility for the safety of the scanner and associated equipment. Scans each bag as it arrives at the bag room.
* Forwards and receives bags to/from TSA for processing. Ensures appropriate attention is paid to priority items.
* Handles customer interaction in an efficient, effective, and professional manner.
* Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.

Qualifications

* Must be a local (in-state) resident.
* High School diploma or GED. Valid In-State Driver?s License.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
* Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Must have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
* Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
* Must be able to lift/carry / push/pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
