Who we are looking for

State Street is looking for a dynamic and experienced Global Head of Financing Solutions to lead our Agency Lending, Prime Services and Secured (Repo) Financing for State Street Global Markets (SSGM). The ideal leader will possess in depth knowledge of agency lending program, the repo markets and prime services platforms as well as experience navigating the complexities of the markets. In addition, the Global Head of Financing solutions must possess top notch leadership capabilities with the ability to form strong relationships with team, clients and internal stakeholders.

What you will be responsible for

As Global Head of Financing Solutions, Executive Vice President you will

• Be responsible for a global revenue budget in excess of $1B.

• Possess a proven skillset in the translation of industry / client themes and trends into actionable strategy, partnering effectively with a wide range of internal and external constituents

• Execute on key priorities against clearly defined financial and return on balance sheet and capital metrics and milestones


• Ensure State Street delivers world class products as measured by market share, client satisfaction scores and various industry rankings


• Work closely with other senior leaders across both Global Markets and the broader Bank to execute business unit initiatives, product and geographic expansion efforts, and a scalable technology and operating model solution


• Develop trusted relationships with key client contacts (and consultants) to ensure State Street is viewed as an integral, long-term partner


• Dynamically foster a culture encouraging innovation and collaboration, especially between headquarters (Boston) and all regional offices, ensuring a truly global organization.


• Represent (and distinguish) State Street in key industry forums and publications


• Create a risk and compliance culture that ensures adherence with applicable regulatory provisions, internal and external audit reviews, and overall risk controls


• Develop and socialize thought leadership and brand awareness via tactical and strategic marketing plan


• Be an accomplished leader developing, motivating and retaining a diverse high caliber team.

The Head of Financing Solutions requires executive leadership, presence and advanced managerial skills including:

• Exemplary track record of delivering sustained product and revenue growth with direct p/l ownership and accountability


• Differentiate State Street's brand and value proposition amidst a highly competitive industry and peer group.


• Ability to lead, prioritize and execute on multiple, simultaneous priorities and initiatives


• Exceptional talent development capabilities with accomplished track record of leading a global team


• Demonstrated track record of instilling a performance culture


• Comprehensive knowledge of market dynamics and regulatory landscape


• Extensive experience interfacing with global regulators on business performance, risk management, capital and emerging industry trends


• Current or recent experience serving on industry related Board of Directors


• Experience calibrating a global organizational structure around shifting strategic priorities or industry opportunities.


• Experience integrating strategic acquisitions


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• MBA, CFA or similar strongly preferred

• Minimum of 15-20 years of Financial Services/Prime Brokerage experience, preferably with extensive Securities Lending /Prime Brokerage/Repo experience

Salary Range:
$300,000 - $412,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
