IntelliSource is on the lookout for a skilled and experienced Facilities Lock/Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in door installation, repair, and replacement, along with a strong understanding of locksmithing principles. This role requires proficiency in working with various tools, including those used for intricate mechanical work, and the ability to handle small parts with precision. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate good dexterity, the capability to work with micro mechanical pieces, and the physical strength to move and lift heavy hardware. Knowledge of safety regulations and fire codes pertaining to doors is essential for ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe environment.

What you will do:

• Install, repair, and replace doors and related hardware components, including locks, hinges, handles, and electronic access systems.


• Utilize basic tools and specialized equipment to perform door installations and repairs, including drills, saws, and measurement devices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standards.


• Demonstrate proficiency in working with small parts and micro mechanical pieces, maintaining precision and attention to detail throughout the process.


• Key, pin, and wire doors as required, configuring locking mechanisms and electronic systems to meet security needs and operational requirements.


• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy hardware components as needed, exercising proper lifting techniques, and ensuring safety at all times.


• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with doors and hardware, implementing effective solutions to resolve problems and prevent recurrence.


• Collaborate with other members of the facilities maintenance team to coordinate projects and support overall operational objectives.


• Stay informed about safety regulations and fire codes relevant to door installations, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and guidelines.


• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including documentation of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.

What you will bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional training or certification in locksmithing or related fields preferred.


• Minimum of 2 years of experience in door installation, repair, or replacement, with a demonstrated track record of success in similar roles.


• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues with doors and hardware effectively.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


• Commitment to upholding quality standards and delivering exceptional service to internal stakeholders and facility users.
