Job Description:

 to coordinate, plan, and oversee inspections for imported fruits. Duties: lead/work w/inspectors/quality team to inspect food products/monitor processing, audit inventories, supervise inspection/classification process, ensure proper storage, identify/interpret/enforce food safety, transportation, handling stndrds/regulatory reqs., monitor grading by jr. inspectors, supervise/schedule/coordinate/train inspectors/sorters, prep./rev./approve reports/budgets, communicate Spanish/English w/ U.S. workforce/S.Am. exporters. Reqs.: B.S. Agr. Eng/Agri. Sci. (or foreign equal.) + 4 yrs’ progressive exp. in QC of imported fruits. Exp. w/ inspection process, auditing food safety/sanitation, training/supervising inspectors/QC workers. Must know QC/int’l standards for imported fruit, food safety, product tracing/recalls, USDA/APHIS standards & quarantine procedures. Bilingual Spanish/English. WFH in S.
