Finance Director - Global Contract Manufacturing


  • The ideal candidate will be located in / working from a Medtronic site in either:

    • Boulder / Lafayette, Colorado.
    • Danvers, Massachusetts.
    • Tempe, Arizona.
    • Orange County, California (Irvine or Santa Ana).
    • Greater Minneapolis, Minnesota area.
  • This position will have a hybrid work schedule, being on-site in the office 2-3 days/week and open to ~25% Travel.

A Day in the Life


  • Lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Contract Manufacturing Operations.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to track operational and financial performance.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives to maximize profitability and efficiency.
  • P artner with internal stakeholders to align financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to enhance contract manufacturing processes.
  • Lead a team of finance professionals to deliver high-quality financial support and analysis.

  • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance or Business, or a Master's Degree with an emphasis in Finance.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in Finance and/or Accounting / FP&A preferably in Contract Manufacturing with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in Finance and/or Accounting / FP&A preferably in Contract Manufacturing with 7+ years of managerial experience

  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial modeling tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance and process improvements.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare or medical technology sector is a plus.
  • Strong influencing and business partnering skills.
  • Experience working in a complex organization and a large manufacturing operation.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High integrity and self-confidence.
  • Large scale change management & change leadership experience.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
