As a Sr. Tax Program Analyst on our Credits & Incentives team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of Publix’s inventory donation process. This role also supports the business incentive’s function, including identifying data and reporting solutions for annual compliance projects, Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) and auto perk reporting.
Responsibilities include:
managing the Publix inventory donation process which includes documenting, analyzing, monitoring, and reporting of the donations data.
developing efficiency solutions for current tax reporting processes. Responsible for working cross-functionally to implement solutions to complex initiatives.
collecting, analyzing, and reporting mileage information to determine personal usage of employer provided vehicles. Quarterly reporting is required to calculate fringe benefit income (auto perk) per IRS requirements.
managing the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) program and credit calculation.

Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or a business-related field or its equivalent in experience
four years of relevant business experience including 2 years of experience coding with SQL
problem-solving and research skills
ability to work independently
ability to demonstrate initiative by taking responsibility for learning new skills and processes
strong analytical skills and detail oriented
ability to plan and organize projects to meet deadlines
communication skills (written and verbal)
knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel
intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Access
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or another analytical discipline or equivalent experience
four years of relevant business experience using Microsoft Power BI and Azure
knowledge of tax research technique and tax research software
ability to comprehend and interpret tax law
advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access
