We are currently seeking an outgoing and flexible Assistant General Manager who will be responsible for all front desk operations and food and beverage operations in order to ensure that the highest quality standards are met for food, service, cleanliness, and marketing of all hotel operations. This key team member will share in the responsibility for all hotel operations and provide superior service and value to hotel guests at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Mt Laurel, NJ.


The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:



  • High School Diploma required. A bachelor’s degree in hospitality or restaurant management preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years hotel operations or restaurant management experience required.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with both internal and external customers, as well as, provide strong leadership to hotel operations team.

  • Strong organization, communication (verbal and written) and time management skills are essential.

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays required.

  • Food Handler Certificate, required within 3 months of hire.

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus.

  • Valid Driver's License required.


General Description of Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:



  • Hires, trains, supervises, coaches, and supports front desk and food and beverage staff.

  • Creates schedules for all operations co-workers.

  • Maintains inventory and manages costs for front desk and food and beverage operations.

  • Steps in to perform job duties in areas where staffing may be limited or additional support is needed.

  • Represents the hotel as Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager.

  • Responsible for bank deposits, invoice process, accounts receivable and accounts payable for the assigned property.

  • Participates in Revenue Management calls to ensure that operations are running to budgeted numbers.

  • Responds to guest inquiries and follows up on any concerns that guests may present.

  • This position is located at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Mt Laurel, NJ.

  • You will report to the General Manager.

  • You may be asked to travel, as needed for meetings and company events.

  • In this role you will be asked to have a high level of flexibility. You may be required to work long shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
