POSITIONS SUMMARY:

As the Director of Identity Access Management (IAM), you will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our organization's IAM program. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in identity and access management, capable of providing strategic direction, managing complex IAM initiatives, and ensuring the highest standards of security for our enterprise. The Director of IAM will play a critical role in shaping the overall security posture, compliance, and risk management of the organization.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Strategic IAM Leadership:


    • Develop and implement a comprehensive IAM strategy aligned with organizational goals.

    • Provide leadership and vision for the IAM program, ensuring it evolves to meet changing security needs.

    • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate IAM strategies into overall business objectives.



  • IAM Program Management:

    • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of IAM processes and technologies.

    • Direct the development and enforcement of access policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

    • Lead IAM initiatives, balancing risk management with business agility.



  • Risk Management and Compliance:

    • Establish and maintain a risk management framework for IAM activities.

    • Ensure IAM processes and controls adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

    • Collaborate with internal audit teams to address IAM-related compliance issues.



  • Incident Response and Security Operations:

    • Act as a senior point of contact for IAM-related incidents, providing strategic guidance.

    • Assist in incident response efforts and collaborate with IT teams to resolve security issues.

    • Implement continuous improvement measures based on incident analysis.



  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology infrastructure, security, compliance, and business units.

    • Engage with senior leadership to communicate IAM strategies and initiatives.

    • Provide guidance and consultation to business units on IAM-related matters.



  • Budget and Resource Management:

    • Develop and manage budgets for IAM initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

    • Allocate resources effectively to support IAM program goals and objectives.

    • Evaluate and procure IAM tools and technologies as needed.



MINUMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent years of experience, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in Identity Access Management or a related security role.

  • Proven leadership experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level IAM programs.

  • In-depth knowledge of IAM principles, best practices, and industry standards.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Master's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • Industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP-ISSAP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

  • Experience with leading IAM solutions such as SailPoint, Okta, or Microsoft Identity Manager.

  • Experience with modern IAM solutions and integrations.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute IAM projects at an enterprise scale.

  • Strong analytical and strategic-thinking skills.
