3M is seeking a Full-time Welder Mechanic (Wausau, WI).

Job Description:   

As a Welder Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Responsibilities:   

• Leading troubleshooting efforts


• Implementing modifications


• Determining root causes of equipment failures


• Supporting engineering and production


• Creating solutions to increase equipment reliability

 Required:  

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution


• Possess a two (2) year Technical Degree in a maintenance field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR a minimum of two (2) years of maintenance work experience in a private, public, government, or military environment


• Possess a current and valid Driver's License


• Ability to work overtime and ability to work rotating shifts (First and Second)

Desired:  

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Possess a two (2) year technical degree and five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience in a private, public, government, or military environment completed and verified prior to start.


• Welding certificate from an accredited institution


• Related experience in a heavy industrial environment


• Ability to work independently or with teams


• Strong written and oral communication skills

  

Pay & Benefits:

• $34.79/hr, shift differential, overtime
