The Accounting Administrator shall be responsible for processing accounting for several business units and includes full cycle AP and AR. The Accounting Administrator will carry out accounting tasks with the goal of assuring consistent systems accounting and internal controls, while providing accurate and timely recording of all financial activities. This position will also be involved in a variety of special projects, and assist in preparing multiple tax returns. The Accounting Administrator offers solutions to problems before they become non compliance issues.
A complete understanding of the direct and indirect interactions between corporate support and other departments is necessary. This position works closely with all supporting departments within the company, management, vendors and outside parties, and will need to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews and codes invoices within QuickBooks
Process employee expense reimbursement
Respond to managements' requests as needed
Follow established processes as well as create new ones
Assist in preparing 1099's
Reviews and posts receipts and payments
Provide assistance to other personnel as necessary and/or requested
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statements for management
Work on multiple projects as directed
Various other office related tasks as assigned
Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
3-5 years of successful/related work experience
Must have a sound knowledge of standard accounting procedures
Proficiency with using computers and in using Excel and QuickBooks accounting software.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
Solid work ethic, professionalism, and positive attitude is a must
Must be self-motivated and directed and able to prioritize and manage numerous tasks at one time and to raise issues proactively and in a timely manner.
Excellent phone manners and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills
Experience in protecting sensitive and confidential information.
Must be able to meet deadlines and accurately complete tasks within an ever-changing environment.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively, make decisions, solve problems, and quickly adapt to changes in the work environment while managing competing demands, frequent changes and unexpected events.
