Holman is looking for an Accounting Systems Analyst (Sales Tax) to join their team!



What will you do?



  • Serve as the Vertex O Series and Vertex Returns subject matter expert for teammates and the first line of support for issues/inquiries prior to escalating to management


  • Maintain and configure all Tax Rules, Exemption Certificates, Tax Rates, and Product Mapping in Vertex O Series


  • Support transition of GDT tax rules and configuration to Vertex O Series


  • Documentation of Vertex processes and configurations


  • Troubleshoot tax invoicing discrepancies and make appropriate system enhancement


  • Coordinate with leadership to implement complex tax logic setups


  • Maintain and create macros and PC runs that support Holman Tax team's monthly tax return filing


  • Support tax-related IT/Accounting projects (upgrades, testing, re-configurations, enhancements)


  • Review and improve existing processes and configurations


  • Compile and generate ad hoc reports


  • Maintaining Access databases


  • Advanced tax research and problem solving


  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned





What are we looking for?



  • Bachelor's degree or work experience equivalent


  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills


  • Vertex O Series and Returns knowledge


  • Prior Sales Tax experience
