Job Description:

General Position Summary:

Provide primary support and development for Tosoh's Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Assist the development of software solutions to enhance manufacturing capability, data collection, and shop floor efficiency. Participate in development of functionality to integrate with IFS ERP, production User Interfaces, and other business applications supporting Tosoh manufacturing operations.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:


  • Participate in the ongoing development of Tosoh's Manufacturing Execution System.
  • Assist with first level support for MES issue tickets and requests post IFS Go-Live.
  • Assist with troubleshooting of user access, client & equipment connectivity, peripheral device functionality, and connection to other integrated business and factory applications.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution for both hardware and software related MES problems. Resolve PC hardware issues such as web browser connectivity, application connectivity, machine connectivity, data collection issue, and I/O devices.
  • Assist with installing & troubleshooting network cabling, trace and activate network data ports on network switches for MES related hardware & I/O devices.
  • Assist and train Tosoh employees in basic MES functions and the proper use of the related I/O devices.
  • Document MES software changes, deployment procedures, testing, & change management.
  • Perform unit testing & end to end testing as needed for functionality & configuration changes.

INTERPERSONAL Contacts:

Establish mentorship relationship with TQI software developers. Contacts are typically with individuals within own department as well as outside own organization. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.

Position is not supervisory in nature.

SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS:


  • .NET MVC 4 or 5, .NET Core MVC, .NET Core, MS SQL development experience
  • Working experience with ORM Mapper & Entity Framework 6 or Entity Framework Core.
  • Advanced experience developing software solutions using .NET, C# development tools
  • Familiarity with calling APIs and asynchronous processes.
  • Experience with Any modern front-end library that compatible with .NET MVC.
  • Experience with GIT for change tracking and Integration with Power BI reports
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, mathematical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines pertaining to completion of projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, involved instructions; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations.
  • Ability to prioritize job tasks.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals.
  • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in analytical or other form.

Education & experience:

Some programming classes utilizing .NET development environment is required.

Job Conditions:

This employee normally operates in both a quiet office environment with no unusual factors and a manufacturing environment. Occasionally performs tasks, which require exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and electrical systems. The job is subject to frequent interruptions and daily deadlines. The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear; occasionally may be required to lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds, subject to company health and safety guidelines. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, controls and to write and use a computer keyboard.
