Schneider Electric is seeking a creative, self-driven, and motivated Writing Specialist, Content Thought Leadership to join our North American Marketing team. This pivotal role collaborates closely with key stakeholders, Segment and Program Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), vendors, and colleagues to develop customized, engaging, and customer-facing content.

The successful candidate will be a purpose-driven, passionate, and precise writer. Their primary role will be crafting copy that embodies the Schneider Electric brand and effectively conveys key customer segment messaging. They will stay ahead of industry trends and deliver innovative, data-driven copy that resonates with target audiences.

Your expertise will be key in advancing customer engagement through customized messaging and copy tailored to specific customer segments, their challenges, user behavior insights, customer benefits, and best practices. You will act as an internal journalist, conducting third-party and internal research, contributing to reports, and more.

Additionally, you will be pivotal in supporting and enhancing our high visibility digital campaigns, email programs, social media efforts, long-form copy, and business-centric, brand-building campaigns globally. You will be responsible for performing quality assurance, proofreading, and editorial feedback on copy from peers and agencies.

Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) is highly valuable in this role. Familiarity with AI-driven tools and technologies helps leverage data insights and automate content creation processes, enhancing effectiveness and personalization across communication assets.

Responsibilities:


  • Write compelling, brand-elevating copy for both digital and traditional marketing initiatives

  • Collaborate with external agencies, creative team members, and marketing teams to determine creative strategy, concepts, and copy direction of branding and marketing initiatives

  • Craft thought leadership pieces in collaboration with SMEs and colleagues

  • Share and expand upon best practices among peers

  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects, including quick turn needs

  • Propose copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to marketing team

  • Revise or edit existing content and proofread content both externally and internally


Mandatories:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field

  • 5 to 7 years of copywriting experience in a creative environment

  • Experience developing and pitching ideas

  • Solid understanding of working with style guides and editorial standards

  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices

  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and project management skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience and interest in AI preferred


This position will report to the North America Content and Thought Leadership Senior Manager. It will be based in Foxboro, MA or Franklin, TN.
