Summary: The Compliance Analyst will assist all Acushnet Company U.S. East Coast facilities and all Golf Ball Operations in complying with applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations as well in complying with certain health & safety requirements as needed.


Responsibilities:



  • Manage hazardous waste activities to ensure compliance and minimize waste generation, including the coordination and preparation of hazardous waste shipments and associated manifests.

  • Support and assist with the implementation of environmental compliance programs involving air permitting and recordkeeping; Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) importation and review; annual environmental reporting; Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) planning; wetlands permitting with local Conservation Commissions; field activities pursuant to State and Federal site contamination programs; and spill response activities.

  • Support all solid waste recycling and disposal efforts using current best sustainable industry practices.

  • Assist with the preparation/presentation of training sessions as required including but not limited to hazardous waste management, hazardous materials transportation security, hazardous waste and emergency response, air emissions permitting, and DOT hazardous materials.

  • Assist with the implementation of compliance programs for DOT, IATA, and IMDG hazardous material/dangerous goods shipments.

  • Support all efforts concerning the management of wastewater permitting and compliance sampling requirements and serve as primary contact for local municipal sewer authorities.

  • Assist with compliance systems designed for the European Union's REACH regulation, the Department of Homeland Security's Chemical Facility Ant-Terrorism Standards and EPA's Risk Management Program regulations.

  • All other duties as assigned.


Requirements:



  • BS degree is required, preferable in Environmental Engineering. Chemistry, or related field may be acceptable based upon prior work experience.

  • A minimum of 5 - 10 years in environmental compliance experience within a manufacturing environment is required. Strong computer skills are required.

  • Exposure to hazardous materials and waste. Must be able to use/work with computers. Able to lift reasonable weights.
