SUMMARY

Executes the Subaru Monroney Label process in partnership with Product Planning, North American Subaru, Inc. (NASI), Subaru Hawaii, and Independent Distributors. Maintains primary responsibility for the creation and maintenance of the Monroney Label, a federally regulated legal document, for all Subaru model year, model, option combinations. Interprets vehicle specifications for input into database and the preparation and distribution of specification data sheets for internal and external stakeholders. Analyzes vehicle processing data for multiple U.S. ports and carlines to forecast consumption of federally and state regulated vehicle labels for replenishment orders with suppliers while maintaining lean inventory practices. Generates recurring reporting and modifies reports as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Audits, analyzes, and enters information from Product Planning and North American Subaru, Inc. (NASI) to create Monroney Labels for all model year, model, and option combinations of Subaru vehicles as well as for future electrified model lines planned for upcoming years.

    • Ensures that Monroney Label information has been updated into production database for port processing and printing of labels for vehicle shipment by completing reconciliations across multiple platforms and documents.
    • Collaborates with Product teams to determine, draft, and proof the appropriate and consistent wording of standard features prior to entry in the Monroney label to ensure that consistency standards are upheld as vehicles and their features evolve.

  • Partners with multiple internal teams to prepare, test, and utilize template and systematic enhancements related to the creation and reprint of Monroney Labels.

    • Obtains and utilizes familiarity of government regulations that pertain to the Monroney Label. Works with teams including Product teams, Legal, and IT in determining solutions that will be compliant with regulations, then testing and implementing changes to the Monroney Label.
    • Works with Marketing to implement any potential marketing-related enhancements to the Monroney Label (e.g., Consumer Reports, graphics, etc.).

  • Coordinates with NASI on safety and fuel economy ratings as well as parts content data for all databases and labels to contain accurate information.
  • Updates various tables in database system with model year and model line information, such as weights, gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), horsepower (HPW), pre-delivery inspection (PDI) details, cubic feet, and ocean ship weights, for each carline model each year.
  • Report Preparation

    • Prepares daily sales reporting and retailing of Subaru Service Loaner Program (SSLP)/Rental vehicles via intranet program for internal stakeholders as well as corporate month-end sales report, which is published externally by Corporate Communications.
    • Utilizes understanding of context/purpose of report data as well as metrics indicated in the report to modify reports for new carlines as well as maintain report files. Modifies reports as needed (such as new carlines being added) by building or augmenting Excel formulas and normalizing data from various source systems.

  • Analyzes historical inventory and port processing data to maintain inventory counts and the supply of vehicle labels for headquarters and multiple U.S. ports and independent distributors.

    • Vehicle labels include Certificate of Origin (MCO), 2.5 MPH bumper labels, Proposition 65 labels, Proposition 65e labels, Solterra Telematics Privacy Notice Labels, Monroney Labels, and Roadside Assistance labels. Many of these labels are either federally or state regulated and must be affixed to associated vehicles.
    • Forecasts when label supply at multiple locations will need to be replenished based on supply usage.
    • Coordinates and places replenishment orders with vendors while taking into account the optimum lead times, space usage, and costs.

  • Creates specification sheets for each model lineup to post on intranet and distribute internally and externally to states' Department of Motor Vehicles (DMVs), insurance agencies, as well as independent distributors.
  • Serves as primary contact for vendor communication and Monroney Label reprints for retailers and internal stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as backup support, as required, to departmental employees for printing Manufacturer's Certificate of Origins (MCO), processing incoming vessels (HA30), releasing vessels, and preparing reporting including Allocation Status and Global Tracking Number Detail (GTN).
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis as required by Distribution Operations Manager.
  • Assists internal and external personnel with Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) Schematics questions.
  • Works with National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to provide model information upon request.
  • Coordinates and processes all vendor invoices.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Ability to communicate and interact professionally with vendors, NASI, Corporate Communications, Product Management, and regional offices to resolve issues and aid when necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced in operating intermediate Excel functions such as pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and If statements.
  • Proficient in other computer programs including Oracle STARS, Business Intelligence (BI), and Qlik.
  • Intermediate business analysis and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of process improvement practices.
  • Ability to conduct inventory tracking and completion of physical inventory counts.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 4-year college degree BA, BS. 4 to 6 years of related experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days onboarding) (Wednesdays and Fridays)
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs
  • Occasional weekend work (once or twice per quarter)

COMPENSATION

The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $55800 - $79700. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. (P1 Exempt).
