DevOps Engineer at Infosys Limited in Plano, Texas

Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a DevOps Engineer . This position's primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate for day to day deliverables for the team. The chosen candidate will assist in the build and deployment of applications for large business systems; create deployment scripts, configure build tools, configure pipelines and support the CI/CD process. The role holder should be able to research on technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions & should contribute to technology-specific best practices & standards; contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability and scalability; contributes expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guides/mentors the team during the build and test phases.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Jenkins/Git/Bitbucket/Ansibile/XLR/CICD pipeline
• Experience in Maven/Ant

Preferred Qualifications
• At least 4 years of hands on DevOps experience
• Strong knowledge in Continuous integration Tools & technology
• Should have worked on in any one of Perforce/Nexus, UrbanCode Platform (UBuild, UDeploy, URelease)
• Hands on experience on version control tools like Perforce, Subversion, Microsoft Team foundation server (TFS) etc.
• Should have worked on build and deployment tools such as Jenkins/Git/Bitbucket/Ansibile/XLR
• Basic knowledge on the Linux commands - viewing system processes, understanding of users/groups/permissions, viewing files and file transfer
• Should have worked on build tools (Maven, ANT etc) and triage the build issues
• Good working knowledge on Code Quality (JUnit, SONAR etc)
• Basic knowledge on Code review tools (Crucible, Smarbear.. etc)
• Excellent communication skills to work with Global Teams

• Experience in Banking and Finance domain.
• Experience working in Agile teams

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
