Summary

Interacts with and assist customers with sales, stock shelves, warehouse duties, cashier work and maintain sales floor. Assist Outside Sales Reps with sales. Maintain assigned accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Greets customer on sales floor and determines make, type, and quality of merchandise desired.

Answer questions and advises customer in selection of building materials.

Solicits sale of new or additional services.

Straightens materials on display to maintain safe and orderly conditions in sales area.

Keeps sales area, displays and products in clean working order.

Receives cash from customers or employees in payment for goods or services.

Managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of BisTrack software and Word Processing software.
