Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
Two years minimum experience with research administration, administration of sponsored programs, and/or writing grant proposals. Knowledge of governmental and granting agency regulations pertaining to grants and contracts and experience reviewing proposals, budgets, grants and contracts.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of standard budgeting procedures (including demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, ad Excel). Knowledge of NIH and other granting agency requirements preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of research ethics and confidentiality principles and practices.
Ability to make sound decisions by applying policies and procedures using available resources.
Ability to foster a cooperative and collaborative work environment.
Advanced analytical, evaluative and objective critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills in the development and implementation of complex administrative programs.
Ability to adapt to changes and learn new skills as required from UCLA CTSI and The Lundquist Institute.
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, co-workers, granting agencies, and community members.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a variety of constituents.
Ability to work independently on most of the administrative duties with limited supervision is required.
Must have the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Manage the different UCLA CTSI programs, budgets, grants and contracts, financial and accounting responsibilities.
Apply standard Administrative research related activities.
Prepare and analyze regularly scheduled and special requested reports, regarding funded grants and research activities.
Facilitate research support services by coordinating protocol/voucher application reviews, and educational courses.
Coordinate weekly meetings with the Lundquist CTSI team, and once in two months Advisory Committee meetings.
Liaison with external and internal UCLA and Lundquist investigators, research teams, staff, and community members.
Manage protocol submission, reviews, and invoices.
Oversight and provide backup support for Community Engagement and Research Program (CERP).
Develop public relations materials, coordinate and set up meetings and events.
Manage general day-to-day office and program activities.
Contributes to the overall success of the CTSI program by performing all other duties as assigned.
Salary: $80,000/yr.
