JOB SUMMARY

Is responsible for the safe handling, packaging and shipping of all product from facility to customer. Communicates with internal management and external freight companies to ensure that product is shipped in a safe efficient and timely manner. Must be self-motivated and often manage a small crew of helpers working within the time constraints of the master production schedule while adhering to the company quality policies.

Promotes safety, cooperation and communication with co-workers
Trains operators to the required level of expertise when required
Works with the various internal departments to ensure all documents and policies are in line to support the shipment
Communicates with the freight companies via phone and email to plan and schedule trucks to pick up product to ship and deliver goods on time per the master schedule.
Ensures that the packaging is in alignment with the Encore documents and specs
Keeps the dedicated shipping area as a safe and effective environment while using best practices when using hand tools such as staplers and strapping equipment
Works with Manufacturing Engineers to create simple designs of new packages that may be required for new product
Competent when using a computer for various tasks such as emailing, ordering packaging and viewing the master schedule
Report any defects to the Quality department witnessed when packaging
Performs various duties to ensure that all product is shipped and delivered safely and supports our customers on dock date
