Nordson Industrial Coating Systems (ICS) designs equipment our global customers rely on for the precise application and curing of liquid paint, powder finishes, container barrier coatings and ambient temperature adhesives and sealants. Production lines work smarter with custom engineered robotic solutions from Nordson Industrial Coating Systems.


The Senior
Field Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for successfully managing the activities of the Cold Material field service technicians including paid service calls and rebuilds, warranty execution, installation work, and courtesy visits. As part of the Cold Materials leadership team, this role will provide applicable global field technical service as needed in support of the international regions. Key deliverables include ensuring continued focus on the safety and quality in the execution of service and installation work, as well as, providing a safe environment for the Wixom employees and customers.



ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Support the relationship management of key customers and distributors, focusing on a superior customer experience including timely responsiveness, top notch quality and flawless execution.

  • Support sales to assist in maximizing revenue tied to service, installations, and rebuilds.

  • Develop team members, manage on-going capacity needs and planning for succession.

  • Manage field service operations, including tactical capacity planning and field engineering utilization.

  • Maintain 5S of all service rebuild/assembly/lab areas, execute operating order and provide a safe environment for employees and customers.

  • Ensure all quality issues are appropriately escalated and resolved through problem solving tools and the CAPA/NCL process.

  • Ensure results and reporting are delivered in an accurate and timely manner, meeting all ISO requirements while managing process effectiveness and improvements.

  • Manage hazardous material storage and disposal for the Wixom facility.

  • Manage field service budgets to plan; provide guidance on future equipment investments.

  • Provide global support and training as required.

  • Maintain ticket assignment aligning with quote/invoice process.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.






EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS



  • Bachelor or Associates degree or 7-10 years supervisory experience in lieu of degree

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in industrial field service-related functions

  • Demonstrated experience with industrial applications and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills preferred.

  • Experience in the finishing industry is preferred.






SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and C4C preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work across organization in matrix structure.

  • Ability to lead, influence and manage projects accurately and confidently.
