Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The Accounts Payable Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by effectively managing accounts payable processes. Responsibilities: Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Verify the accuracy of invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals. Match invoices with proper backup. Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors to resolve issues, answer inquiries, and maintain positive relationships. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices. Review vendor statements. Research status and make appropriate decisions. Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of invoices, payments, and related documentation. Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations. Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function. Implement and contribute to the development of best practices. Month-End Closing: Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldis preferred. Proven experience as an Accounts Payable or in a similar role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
