JOB DESCRIPTION

Perform assignments, tasks or activities that contribute to the overall business objectives of the corporation and the department. Develop and maintain strong relationships with our TPA partners and home office personnel in an effort to increase productivity with a focus on achieving claims handling excellence. Manage, oversee and provide direction to all levels of personnel, including claims representatives, supervisors, managers and executives.

• Oversee the supervision and training of staff on complex coverage and compensability issues;
• Participate in the recruitment and development of staff;
• Participate in the development of claims and operational practices and procedures;
• Provide in-depth analyses and presentations to senior claims management and underwriters on existing claims;
• Provide support to business leaders on an as needed basis on various claims and underwriting related issues and marketing meetings;
• Undertake other special projects as directed by Senior Management;
• Work with WC Compliance Manager on jurisdictional compliance issues;
• Maintain active diary and conduct team self-audits;
• Demonstrate an excellent understanding and ability to apply the technical aspects of WC claim handling;
• Participate in WC CLR committees;
• Provide oversight on reportable long term exposure claims and various other claims of high complexity;
• Work closely with other Chubb disciplines in a team environment consisting of underwriting, actuarial, legal and accounting;
• Provide settlement and reserve authority within authority level in accordance with CHUBB protocol;
