Truck Yard Driver - Class A Hostler at Reser's Fine Foods in HALIFAX, North Carolina

Job Description:

General Summary: Move trailers from the truck yard to the distribution centers for loading or unloading. Occasionally run a regional trip and deliver to grocery warehouse. Assist with truck movement to and from Penske or additional repair shops.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Moves trailers from shop to distribution center or between plants as needed.


2. Maintains daily log of activities.


3. Assists with Regional deliveries when needed.


4. Follows Company and FMCSA safety guidelines.


5. Maintains a daily DOT log as required.


6. Maintains a clean and organized work area with good communication skills.


7. Trailer washouts and inspections performed daily or as needed.

 

Job Specifications

1. Class A CDL and maintain a clean MVR required.


2. Minimum six months OTR experience required.


3. High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.


4. Regular attendance and punctuality required.


5. Ability to lift and move 50LBS continually throughout shift.


6. Work schedules are subject to change and are based on company need.

 

Working Conditions

1. Yard Environment.


2. Outside all weather conditions.


3. Production demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend
