The Company's Total Rewards package is at or above industry levels. The expected base salary range for this position is between 94,000.00 USD - 124,000.00 USD. Job related skills, experience, education, and location will be considered in setting actual starting base salary. In addition to your base salary and depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, a total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive and/or long-term incentives. We are seeking our next Graphic Designer to join our Brand + Innovation Design. This role will be creating inspiring concepts from concept to execution (innovation phase all the way to launch). This visual storytelling will need to be considered across many channels and touchpoints. This can include (yet may not be limited to) conceptual moodboards, packaging, design hierarchy, concepts, brand ID, in-store experiences, photography art direction, trade show concepts and graphics, and omni thinking on campaigns / projects including digital and social. You love how brand strategy relates to design. You have an understanding that all parts of a project lend to a complete brand story. You also enjoy executing and presenting your ideas and working cross-functionally to find new solves for sustainable packaging solutions. You will report to the Creative Director for Brand + Innovation Design and will collaborate with the larger future thinking Design Studio Team. While this role will focus mainly on the Method and Ecover brands, there may be some overflow of design support for the larger umbrella of brands including Mrs. Meyers and Babyganics.

NOTE: This is an in-office position. San Francisco, CA

Key Responsibilities:


  • Create design forward, inspiring concepts that need to be applied across many channels and touchpoints. Provide omni thinking and solutions to brand design solutions, working with other members of the design studio + Brand experience team.

  • Design and produce graphics for branded materials including (and not limited to) packaging, innovation, brand ID, in-store experiences, trade shows, and omni thinking on campaigns / projects including digital and social

  • Contribute thinking design strategy from a creative perspective

  • Work with studio leads and Creative Director on high level concepts and innovations, brand ID, in-store experiences, trade shows, campaigns, toolkits, and other internal design projects.

  • Set up design files on dielines and work seamlessly with production artists for final release of files (there will be some production needed for this role - you will need to know how to apply graphics to clean files and package artwork accordingly). Color selecting, matching and review of files and product samples across the portfolio.

  • Produce moodboards and decks to bring the method brand to life, with consideration of design trends and new creative concepts.

  • Represent the design team in project meetings, mentor and guide associate designer(s) on long term projects.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively to meet deadlines

Requirements:


  • 3+ years Graphic Design experience with at least 1+ year with print experience including packaging

  • Bachelors Degree


PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Ability to be nimble and patient.

  • Communicate effectively and provide proactive approach to updates

  • Represent the design team in project meetings, mentor and guide associate designer(s) on long term projects.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively to meet deadlines

  • An understanding of packaging design and some examples

  • Knowledge of cpg / personal care / beauty / skincare or relevant categories

  • A strong understanding of print processes, dielines, and Adobe Creative Suite is a must

  • Experience in setting up, revising, and proofing of print files
