Job Description:

Hays is working with one of the premier civil general contractors in the nation to find a Project Manager for their New York City operation. This person will be overseeing some of the largest infrastructure projects that New York has to offer. They invest in their people to ensure the success of the staff. Responsibilities:


• Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to the closeout of the projects.


• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards


• Develop project plans, including project scope, schedule, and budget


• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project plans, safety regulations, and city regulations.


• Communicate with subcontractors, clients, vendors, government agencies, and consultants to ensure work is done smoothly and correctly.


• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, progress reports, and material purchase orders.


• Ensure project closeout activities are completed, including final inspections, punch lists, and project turnover


Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field


• 5-10 years of experience in project management in the construction industry, preferably with a general contractor


• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes


• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills


• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


• Proficient in Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, Primavera, and Microsoft Office Suite
