As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you'll be an integral part of their success story, ensuring the flawless installation, testing, and commissioning of intricate mechanical systems across a diverse range of projects. Your new role

• Develop commissioning plans throughout the design and construction phases.


• Create equipment tracking log for pre-functional testing, functional testing, static testing, warranties, O&M's, etc.


• Generate pre-functional and functional checklists for equipment based off approved submittals and project design drawings/specifications.


• Prepares field observation reports after site visits along with issues log for contractors to take corrective action on equipment in the field.


• Provide technical guidance and support as needed throughout the commissioning process.


• Familiar with static testing procedures and reading test reports (pipe pressure testing, air/water balancing, chemical cleaning, etc.).


• Lead commissioning deliverables in accordance with commissioning proposal and budget within project schedule.


• Run commissioning meetings and provide meeting minutes to sustain effective communication of project status.


• Independently plan and coordinate commissioning activities with project constructions teams.


• Form and nurture client relationships.


• Facilitate the commissioning process with project contractors and equipment vendors.

What you'll need to succeed

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent


• MEP commissioning experience.


• NYCEEC, LEED Fundamental, and LEED Enhanced Cx requirements.


• HVAC, VAV's, Exhaust Fans, AC Units, Chillers, CRAC Units, Fan Coil Units, Roof Top Units, Air Handling Units, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Variable Frequency Drives, Boilers, Leak Detection Systems, Water Heaters, Lighting Controls, Building Management Systems.


• Familiar with performing submittal reviews of MEP equipment.


• Capable of performing independent design reviews based off the project design drawings/specifications in conjunction with the scope of work.
