Job Description:

Clinical Dietitian, MGH Nutrition Services - Ambulatory practice setting



MGH Nutrition Services is interviewing for a part-time (20 hrs/wk) outpatient Registered Dietitian, licensed in the state of MA, who will provide MNT primarily to adult patients in an ambulatory practice setting. A competitive candidate for this position will have experience and a proven ability to provide effective MNT and counseling in both individual and group settings. Master's Degree, advanced certification, and prior experience with or interest in disordered eating preferred.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Engage with patients, families, and significant others to ensure patient-centered care.

  • Collect comprehensive patient data, including medical history and nutrition status.

  • Analyze nutrition and health assessment data to identify and address nutrition-related problems.

  • Develop and implement nutrition care plans tailored to individual patient needs.

  • Educate patients and their families on diet modifications and healthy eating habits.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and food service staff to optimize patient care.






Qualifications

Qualifications:



  • Effective communication skills with diverse groups of patients and colleagues.

  • Proficiency in nutrition education and counseling to achieve desired health outcomes.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions to optimize patient care.

  • Appreciation of the interconnectedness of nutrition care within the healthcare system.

  • Required licenses and certifications: Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration) and Licensed Dietitian (Commonwealth of MA).
