Job Summary: Responsible for the verification testing, diagnosis, and repair of electronic circuit board assemblies using AOI/AXI inspection equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Programming, troubleshooting, training, scheduling, prioritizing, planning, metric reporting, and driving continuous improvement for AOI and AXI inspection equipment.

  • Utilizing Automated Inspection computerized software for skilled equipment programming and production support.

  • Monitoring, resolving, and maintaining systemic programming-related issues.

  • Performing machine program backup and adjusting programs for all automated inspection machines.

  • Reporting data to Engineering and Manufacturing for machine inspection programs.

  • Training equipment and repair station operators on automated inspection equipment.

  • Troubleshooting machine and process-related issues.

  • Conducting calibrations and preventive maintenance.

  • Maintaining spare parts database, stock, and ordering spare parts.

  • Assisting in line move qualification process and cross-training with other imaging technicians.

  • Investigating and creating closed-loop feedback from upstream and downstream imaging equipment.

  • Participating in daily CAC team meetings to resolve program-related problems and drive corrective action.

  • Providing support in evaluating new equipment and programming tools and preparing proposals for equipment purchases.

  • Editing, debugging, and optimizing inspection programs.

  • Adhering to Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices.

Education and Minimum Requirements:


  • Associate Degree or technical school certificate OR 1 - 2 years of equivalent experience.

  • Proficient communication, reading, writing, and math skills.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, manufacturer’s drawings, and component specifications.

Preferred:

  • 1 year of experience supporting or operating Automated Inspection equipment such as AOI and AXI equipment.

Physical Demands:


  • Close vision and extensive use of computer monitor and testing circuit boards.

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs., bending, and carrying lab equipment.
