Job Description Summary


Reporting to Business Administrator, the Financial Coordinator supports the office with day-to-day financial support and works closely with all Grad Division offices to review and approve Concur travel processing, Purchase Orders, non-PO processing, and manage the Meeting and Procard transactions. This role will work closely with all Graduate Division offices to review and approve Concur travel processing, Purchase Orders, non-PO processing, meeting card and Procard transactions.


This role is the primary financial and operational resource for MBA students specifically related to fellow payments, Student Experience funding and Summer Internship fund payments. This role will partner with multiple offices outside of Financial Planning & Operations, including the MBA Program Office, Admissions, Student Life, Career Management as well as central offices in the areas of Finance, Purchasing and HR to streamline submission and processing requirements. This role will support the Business Administrators in delivering top level customer service and streamlined financial processes to both staff and students.


This role will assist in our Financial Aid services provided to students, including review and dissemination of communications. This includes evaluation of student financial information to determine eligibility for internal financial aid grants, maintenance of fellowship information in Collegenet, Grad Funding, and other financial aid systems, as well review and approval of the application fee waiver process.


The position demands unique policy knowledge and administration skills to ensure conformity with University policies while meeting all the needs of staff and students. This position will have the ability to work as a part of a cross functional team in an innovative and data-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Perform complex and confidential administrative duties for FP&O Team including various forms of student payments, Concur travel review and




  • submission, and BEN Financial processes including purchase orders, meeting card, and pro-card ownership.




  • Processes adjusting journal entries in BEN Financials and assists in the monthly/annual closing processes, including acting as key contact for




  • Grad Div staff for any processing, vendor questions and invoice inquiries. Monitor and respond quickly and accurately on all financially




  • related queries from staff.




  • Assist in the training needs for the FP&O team including attending regular Grad Div/Wharton/University meetings and summarizing key impacts to best




  • support the team and the Grad Division staff. Provide actionable data and analysis to best guide staffing and budgeting needs in the division.




  • Plays a crucial role assisting workflows in the MBA Financial Aid office. This position requires a strong understanding of financial aid systems, excellent




  • communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.




  • Provides frontline and backup support for the FP&O Team based on demand across all financial aspects.




  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.









Qualifications





  • Associate's Degree or Two Year College equivalent required and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
