The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the facilities maintenance team with the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with primary responsibilities being custodial duties of the facilities and grounds. All work assignments will be tracked in a computerized maintenance management system to include notes and completion status.

Rate of Pay: $31.40 to $34.55 based on skill set and certifications
What You’ll Do:
Assist with painting interior and exteriors walls floors, ceilings etc.
Assist with minor carpentry functions in the alteration, repair, and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, screens, scaffolding forms, wood fixtures, and furniture
Assist with minor plumbing issues associated with clogged drains
Assist with maintaining inventories of maintenance material, supplies, and repair parts at required levels
Maintain year-round grounds maintenance
Provides administrative support to maintenance division to include document tracking, filing, and auditing
Maintain tools and machinery and use all tools carefully and as instructed
Load and unload trucks as needed
Assist with furniture move and reassembly as needed
Take precautions to ensure buildings are free of insects and rodents
Ensure safe work environment, personal protection equipment (PPE) and hazardous materials protocols are followed
Performs additional duties as required
What You’ll need:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
3 to 5+ years’ experience in a related position
Must maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license
Must have 6 months of continuous employment with no unexcused absences or disciplinary actions (final or pending)
Minimum Certifications in the following:
Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS)
608/609
Training session relevant to current equipment/building Needs
Fork-lift
Certifications in the following Preferred:
Mechanical Maintenance
Facility Maintenance
Electrical Trainee
Mechanical Technician
Print-Reading
Electrical Tech 1
Millwright-Form
