Summary
The primary role of the Crane/Forklift Operator is to lead daily department operations

including correctly piling

and planning material flow in and out of the department. This role will also be responsible for moving material safely with a forklift and/or crane as well as setting up furnaces and coolers for appropriate for use. The Helper will be responsible for working with their crew member to ensure work is completed safely

meeting quality expectations

as well as meeting productivity demands.

A successful candidate is a self-starter who has a strong work ethic to improve quality and production levels of assigned equipment. Must be willing to train within the department and may be required to cover shifts as necessary.

Responsibilities


  • Safety - involved in promoting and providing a safe working environment for yourself and team.

  • Works within our Philosophy and takes ownership of mill and crew.
  • Computer knowledge including basic Oracle skills

    basic Microsoft Office experience (Outlook)


  • Catalyst for continuous improvement - engaged in the transformation process and use the daily transformation tools available.
  • After successful completion of training

    may move to Operator position with pitman schedule.




Available shifts

  • Pitman schedule

    12hr. shift - 7pm-7am. Rotating schedule: work Monday Tuesday


    off Wednesday Thursday


    work Friday-Sunday then following week off Monday Tuesday


    work Wednesday Thursday


    off Friday-Sunday (36 hours one week


    48 hours the following week).


  • Work holidays as needed when scheduled


Salary Range: $20- $24.09/hr.
