Were seeking someone who can quickly coverbreakingnewsinvolving public safety, business, politics, community events and other unexpectednews. Live blogging of key events will be expected. At times, thisreporterwill be tasked with reporting and writing deeper enterprising stories on the topics important to subscribers.
Thisjobrequires an understanding of social media, Google trends, audience metrics and SEO techniques; quick, tight, lively writing; and a competitive mindset determined to see ones work at the top of our page view charts each day.
Our ideal candidate will enjoy using a mix of writing styles, from turning quick write-ups to longer features that crave detail and flourish and should be ready to engage a social media audience.
