SUMMARY: Responsible for driving designated routes in various locations to load and/or unload fuel safely and timely.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver and receive fuel and/or propane to and from company tanks, customer tanks, and airplanes as required. Perform various customer service activities which include assisting with fuel attendant duties. Assist with gasoline pump meter readings, sales slips and credit card charges. Perform daily vehicle inspections and requisition parts and repairs. Perform or assist with weekly inspections of facilities, maintenance crews with maintenance and upgrades. Act as a first responder to any spill incidents and perform other duties as assigned. Will be dispatched to various locations for a period of time depending on the needs of the business. Other duties as assigned.
Sign-On Bonus: $3,500.00 EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating vehicles or equipment that require a CDL. Experience operating vehicles with manual transmission. Experience delivering fuel preferred.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to demonstrate effective customer services skills. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to mentor, coach, train and supervise employees. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Knowledge of and ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment. Knowledge of and the ability to safely operate and/or maintain machinery, tools and equipment.
OTHER: Must possess a valid Class A or B CDL with Tanker, Hazmat, and Air Brake endorsements. Must meet the current driver qualifications as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Also, must possess a current medical card. 24 Hour HAZWOPPER Certification training preferred.
