Applications accepted for the position of: Metering Supervisor FUNCTION:Oversee, manage and supervise the GEUS Metering Department including the metering system, equipment, processes, data, personnel and all other aspects of the Metering Department. Monitor and ensure the scheduled tasks that make up the AMI processes and other metering system processes are run and are completed successfully. Prepare and maintain daily, weekly and monthly processing schedules for AMI system operation. Track and verify the quality of data from all metering sources, analyze meter related issues and determine the appropriate course of action to ensure resolution. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 Supervise and manage the Metering Department. Includes Meter Shop, Meter Technicians and Meter Readers. 2 Coordinate the accurate and timely transfer of meter readings from the MDM to the Billing CIS. 3 Monitor and oversee the metering communications system and metering network. 4 Work with meter technicians to troubleshoot and repair metering equipment. 5 Direct meter technician schedules and coordinate all metering activities. 6 Work proactively with Billing to resolve potential customer billing issues by analyzing and interpreting consumption data and reading data from the MDM. 7 Monitor and respond to system messages, alarms and alerts. 8 Compile and distribute metering system information reports to track system performance, growth and productivity. 9 Assist with and recommend new report development. 10 Monitor system jobs and batch processes and report identified issues. 11 Assist with the operational support for AMI and MDM applications and database environments including production, QA and testing. 12 Implement new applications as required. 13 Ensure each member of the Metering Department is properly trained and equipped in accordance with the requirements of their positions and conduct departmental employee performance reviews per current GEUS practices and policy. 14 Collaborate, coordinate and communicate with internal GEUS departments and management. 15 Coordinate with Billing Dept. to maintain schedules for manually and electronically read meters. 16 Make recommendations to T&D Manager for budget needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 1 AS/AAS from an accredited college or university. Additional job-related experience may be substituted for education requirements. 2 2 years experience providing analysis, support and maintenance of information and communication dependent systems. 3 2 years experience in complex metering systems including experience in advanced metering infrastructure (AMI). 4 Supervisory experience preferred. Must demonstrate leadership capability in the job. Will be expected to be able to perform as a Supervisor. 5 Advanced proficiency in Excel 6 Proficiency with database tools 7 Must maintain a valid Texas driver license Pay Rate: DOQ plus benefits Full-time Position To apply, you must submit a City of Greenville/GEUS application form.
