Job Description:

At Ameritread Truck Stop Supply , an Ecore co mpany, w e cull, refurbish and resell used tires, giving them a new lease on life as h igh-quality, certified reconstructed tires. With the waste, we recycle the rubber to create more than 1,500 different products, including high-performance flooring, pour-in-place playgrounds, athletic fields, mulch trails and more. We aim to rid the planet of rubber waste!

Location: 1120 Green Spring Road, Newville, PA 17241

We are looking for 2 Manufacturing Technicians (internally called Tire Technician) to join our Newville, PA location! As a Tire Technician, you will be an in-house tire expert, learning how to identify tires that can be refurbished and those that can be upcycled. You will operate machinery to repairs tires and ensure high quality tires go out to our customers.

2nd Shift hours: Monday-Thursday, 2:00pm-12:00am (ability to train on 1st shift for about 4 weeks prior to transitioning to 2nd shift)

Tire Technician Pay: $22-$24/hour (based on experience)

Shift Differential: $0.75/hour

Core Contributions:

• Prioritize your personal safety and the safety of your teammates. You are empowered to act and stop work if you see something unsafe.
• Visually inspect, repair, regroove, pressure test, and paint tires with one last final inspection before going to the customer.
• Operate machinery and perform general preventive maintenance. Collaborate with maintenance on larger issues.
• Setup, operate, troubleshoot, adjust machine settings.
• Operate a forklift to move and transport tires.
• Organize work area to maintain a safe, efficient, productive and clean work area by using air wands, vacuums, brooms and shovels.

• High school diploma, 4+ years of machine operator or tire technician experience
• 6+ months of forklift experience
• Front end loader experience preferred
• Experience working with measurements and b asic math
• Past tire technician experience operating equipment of similar complexity is helpful
• Valid driver's license preferred
