Overview
The Director, HEOR leads the strategic planning and execution of HEOR evidence communication initiatives demonstrating the value of Insmed's product(s) for intended indication(s), including development of HEOR evidence communication tools and support training of internal teams on the use of communication tools with expertise. The Director collaborates with key stakeholders across the company including Training/Medical Excellence, Field-based/ Medical Outcomes Liaisons (MOLs)/Medical Science Liaison (MSL), market access, payer marketing, global medical strategy, and other HEOR team members, to support Insmed's business needs. This is a global role.
Responsibilities
Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
Lead strategic communication & dissemination of HEOR Evidence to internal and external stakeholders
Ensure HEOR communication tools (e.g. medical/payer presentation decks for internal and external use, value dossiers, interactive economic models, publications, and other reactive and proactive evidence content for external stakeholders) are strategic, impactful, and aligned with crosstunctional team needs; working in close partnership with other HEOR team members, publication/ scientific communications, global medical strategy and market access
Collaborates with Medical Excellence to train field-based team Medical Outcomes Liaisons (MOLs)/Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) on the use of HEOR communication tools with expertise
Collaborate with field-based teams MOLs, MSLs and market access account directors to understand the needs and develop customer focused HEOR communication materials
Serve as the primary HEOR point of contact and subject matter expert for HEOR evidence communication for the Field teams (MOL, MSL, Account Directors), Training (Medical Excellence) and Publication/Scientific Communication team
Reviews HEOR research project materials including study protocols, analysis plans, reports and publications building on the high quality and scientific rigor of these deliverables
Represents HEOR on medical and commercial cross-functional teams to ensure coordination of activities and timeliness of deliverables
Oversee development of HEOR publication strategy
Directs external research vendors and consultants to deliver results using appropriate scientific methodologies
Manages HEOR budgets, supports department operational processes, and leads improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Graduate degree in a quantitative life sciences field; PhD strongly preferred
Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in HEOR and/or market access
Knowledge of pharmaceutical and regulatory guidelines on development and approval of communication materials
Expert in HEOR research including burden of illness studies, patient evidence studies, medical claims and electronic health records database analyses, economic models, and systematic literature reviews, analytic methodologies and modeling, scientific data interpretation and presentation,
HEOR experience in US and global required
HEOR in-house and field experience preferred
Health technology assessment organization experience preferred
Demonstrate strategic thinking, strong sense of urgency, and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively articulate thoughts and express ideas using oral and written communication skills
Able to build valuable relationships and networks
Uncompromising commitment to quality and compliance of self and others
Travel Requirements
Up to 15% travel, both domestic and/or international.
Salary Range
Insmed takes into consideration a combination of candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.
The base salary range for this job is from $175,000.00 to $241,667.00 per year
