Job DescriptionThis position will involve copy cataloging materials in Chinese, Japanese and/or Korean languages with the coordination of the East Asian outsourcing cataloging activities. Ensures materials are sent out on schedule and returns are processed promptly.Required Qualifications

• Current KU student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours


• Reading knowledge of Chinese, Japanese or Korean


• Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail as evidenced by application

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer reading knowledge of Chinese (simplified and traditional) and the ability to romanize characters into the Latin alphabet using the Pinyin system


• Ability to maintain work schedule under minimal supervision


• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively


• Previous experience in libraries
