Ardurra is seeking an Engineer-In-Training to join our team as a Water Resources Engineer!


Ardurra is excited to announce that we are hiring a Water Resources Engineer-In-Training.  We are seeking an engaged young professional that wants to join a dynamic and exciting team. Come and join us as a H&H engineer where you will study the effects of structures and land changes on the flow of water for design and permitting purposes.

Required Qualifications



  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from accredited program in civil, mechanical, hydraulic, or agricultural engineering.

  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification, or in the process of attaining

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills.

  • A desire to grow and serve professionally as an engineer.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Proficient with CAD software.


Key Responsibilities



  • Assist with hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) design projects.

  • On the job training in H&H to perform job duties.

  • Design hydraulic structures and drainage systems for civil, transportation and land development projects.

  • Develops 1D& 2D hydraulic models to evaluate impacts of structures on flooding.

  • Researches and analyzes hydrologic parameters to evaluate stormwater runoff.

  • Prepares studies, reports, plans, and specifications for a wider variety of projects.

  • Uses computer-aided design (CAD) software to create drawings and details for water-control facilities.

  • Work on a variety of H&H projects

    • Projects include analysis/design of stormwater facilities, irrigation facilities, culverts, hydrology, open-channel hydraulics, bridge hydraulics, floodplain modeling/mapping, hydrologic, hydraulic modeling
