JOB DESCRIPTION: MARKETING AUTOMATION SPECIALIST

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for developing and facilitating automated email programs, translating data into insights, implementing new tactics and approaches to drive engagement and conversion, and ultimately supporting sales growth. This is a highly collaborate role that works with global product marketing, product management, and sales teams to build a program that compliments regional marketing activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create, optimize, and manage sustainable, scalable, and targeted email marketing automation practices to generate and nurture leads and improve customer retention.

Create and manage the end-to-end email process for targeted campaigns.

Create and deploy appropriate targeting and segmentation strategy.

Collaborate with product marketing and regional marketing teams to ensure alignment with global marketing activities.

Define and manage email workflows, including automation logic/rules, and reporting.

Deploy emails and track performance.

Uncover insights from past sends to guide higher impact campaigns.

Compile and analyze data for continuous improvement.

Drive email marketing improvements with performance analysis and collaboration with stakeholders.

Regularly communicate with sales teams and track lead performance to ensure timely lead handling.

Provide regular reporting analysis of all marketing automation initiatives along with recommendations for improvement to key stakeholders.

Ensure program compliance with GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM and other global data privacy and email regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Ability to work in matrixed organization and in close collaboration with sales and marketing teams.

Experienced in delivering results in collaborative environments.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proven data-driven problem solver.

Excellent analytical skills.

Skilled in project management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred; prior equivalent experience and training may be considered in lieu of formal degree.

Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in email marketing automation.

Email marketing automation experience—B2B and Act-On a plus

B2B marketing and/or industrial marketing experience preferred.

Experience with necessary digital marketing platforms and tools.
