Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Targa is looking for a qualified individual who can analyze corrosion control data per Targa Corrosion Program requirements and AMPP standards as required by 49 CFR 192 & 195 for gas and hazardous liquid pipelines.  Candidate will analyze and continuously monitor data/trends updated daily by field personnel.  Candidate will support data quality assurance of contractor collected data, ensure proper storage of documents and work closely with GIS and Mapping group to verify data is accurate across multiple digital platforms.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Manage Data Storage

·       Manage records required to demonstrate the program meets regulatory requirements per 49 CFR 192 & 195.

·       Review data for gaps and work to close the gaps.

·       Support local operations with updating data in systems.

·       Work heavily within American Innovations, PCS software.

·       Provide reports on data for management as requested.

·       Provide technical support to Targa Internal Stakeholders.

·       Stay current with changes to the Corrosion Control regulations.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Minimum of 3years of experience in corrosion control industry

·       Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline preferred.

·       AMPP/NACE certified preferred

·       Ability to communicate with different departments and third-party vendors (GIS, Operations, Engineering, Construction, Compliance, EHS, Legal, etc.)

·       Must have strong understanding of 49 CFR 192 Subpart I “Requirements for Corrosion Control” and 49 CFR 195 Subpart H “Corrosion Control”

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Technical background related to pipelines, including pipeline integrity, design, construction, operations, maintenance, and repair.

·       Regular and reliable attendance.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

·       Travel up to 25%

·       Must be able to lift 50lbs
