Job Description:

The DECODE LAB group (Dr. Hernan and Dr Scott) at Nemours seeks a motivated Research Assistant I to conduct research for both internally and externally funded projects of interest to the laboratory.

• Performs a range of experiments and data analyses under the direction of Principle Investigators or a Research Associate.
• May be required to perform experiments during certain weekends or after hours (depending on the need of experiment).
• Expertise in 3D printing and design.
• Handle, Manage and maintain small animal colony.
• Experience in Animal Behavioral experiments and Stereotaxic surgeries.
• Assist with maintenance and operations in the laboratory.
• Maintains organized and detailed handwritten and computerized records of work performed.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills conducive to working in a team.

Qualifications/ Expected Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in basic science
• Laboratory management
• 3D printing and design
• Preparation of standard laboratory solutions
