What You Will Contribute:
The Lead Assembler is responsible for leading a team of assemblers for our Flow Instrumentation divisions by communicating with employees, management, and sales regarding daily assembly requirements and suggesting and implementing process improvements. This candidate is expected to display a strong mechanical aptitude along with the ability to read prints and measure parts while maintaining a customer-focused mentality. The Lead Assembler is also responsible for the following main accountabilities:
Provide a thorough technical understanding of production and assembly practices
Organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads and staff to meet production schedule
Display strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with Managers, Planning and Customer Service
Work limited extended hours and occasional weekend shifts as required
Other various duties as required in the Racine facility
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Associates Degree or vocational training desired
3-5 years of assembly experience
1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Experience in a Lean environment and/or Lean 101 training desired
Electronic assembly experience desired
Working Conditions:
Depending on the assigned department, must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and complete an audiogram test
Those working in the Aerospace department must be able to pass a Vision, Color Vision, and Depth perception test
