What we do...



Analytical testing of foods, supplements, ingredients, and packaging. Includes work on: accurate nutrition labels, creating safe products and supply chains, and assisting with compliance with FDA and international regulatory agencies.



Job Description




Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.

  • Regular attendance and punctuality.

  • Works with Coordinator to help resolve client sample issues.

  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.

  • Move samples to and from storage locations.

  • Communicate sample information to all appropriate personnel.

  • Learns to manage internal customer inquiries and requests.

  • Effectively communicates discrepancies to appropriate personnel, assists with problem solving.

  • Dispose of all samples according to the SOP's.

  • Communicates development improvement ideas for the group.

  • Ability to work with others from different areas outside of Sample Management

  • Promotes and contributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains a positive attitude.

  • Plans individual workloads in accordance with team members.

  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.




Qualifications



To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.


  • 1+ years' of experience; will train as needed.

  • Customer service skills including attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality and communication skills.

  • Ability to identify and communicate customer service needs.

  • Ability to learn new tasks

  • Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficiently

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Working knowledge of computers.



Other Factors of this role include:


  • Overtime and weekend work as required.

  • Will be exposed to potential food allergens (ex. Milk, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, etc.).

  • Physical requirements include, but not are limited to, standing, bending, reaching and lifting, working in walk-in cold storage units.

  • Expected to understand the process for handling hazardous wastes and receive on-the-job training for handling specific waste types in their job area.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. for short periods of time.

  • Work requires use of PPE (personal protective equipment).

  • Mandatory immunizations and screening as required.
