In this exciting role as a Senior Business Process Improvement Analyst, you will be responsible for working with business stakeholders understanding and capturing their needs, translate those into requirements, and ultimately creating a project proposal. In this role you will collaborate with business leaders and users across Medtronic Global Operations & Supply Chain organization from manufacturing sites and enabling functions. This role is part of our Digital Transformation strategy for Medtronic.

This role is suited for someone with a Software Engineering background with experience managing and supporting manufacturing operations, or someone with an Industrial Engineering background with experience and interest in the software lifecycle from requirements and development to deployment and maintenance. This role reports to the Digital Transformation organization and works with personnel from Operations, Engineering, Quality, Operational Excellence, and IT teams. This role works with personnel from around the globe and will be working in a "Hybrid" model where will balance presence at a manufacturing site with remote work.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Organizes, leads, and facilitates cross-functional project teams to develop project proposals. Communicates team progress.
  • Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
  • Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.
  • Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls and collects data to identify root cause of problems. Measures performance against process requirements.
  • Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
  • Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.
  • Plans, performs, and implements process improvement initiatives leveraging Digitalization project portfolio. Performs cost and benefit analyses.
  • Engage in project updates to stakeholders from different levels (from Senior Leaders to manufacturing line workers.) Prepare and deliver efficient presentation content.
  • May deliver training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement, and control.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing operations support, software lifecycle management, and/or business process improvement experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Nice to Have


  • Prefer 7 years minimum or 5 if have an advanced degree
  • Lean / Six Sigma green belt or black belt certification.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive plan.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
