OUR BANK - The Federal Reserve is the central bank of the United States and is one of the most influential, trusted, and prestigious financial organizations. The Atlanta Fed and the other Reserve Banks play an important part in all three of the Fed's functions: monetary policy, bank supervision and regulation, and the operation of a nationwide payment system.

SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT:

• Works with team members and customers to provide solutions for moderately complex problems.




• Process improvement & automation - Determine opportunities for and develop tools to streamline processes that are currently manual or require multiple handoffs.  




• Analytics, reporting & dashboards - Leverage data to tell a story.  Build ETLs with technologies like Python, R, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program through the duration of the internship.




• Minimum cumulative GPA above 3.0 in academically rigorous curriculum.




• Must be committed to working a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks during the summer months.




• Knowledge of Tableau/Power BI, Python or other programming languages, and Sharepoint a plus

• Finance




• Industrial Engineering




• Other STEM degrees

CORE COMPETENCIES:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite




• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)




• Strong analytical skills




• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects




• Great work ethic and detail oriented




• Comfortable working across time zones to complete projects in a timely manner
