Do you have strong analytical, collaboration and communication skills and want to join an extraordinary team? The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking to hire a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Reporting department within the Financial Management Group. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Financial Planning Operations & Data Analytics unit.
As a Financial Analyst, you will play a vital role in the actuals, budget, forecasting and reporting processes, capital reporting and management, and performing data analytics to support bank-wide reporting needs. The role will also serve as an SME in the Cost Accounting Strategic Planning and Reporting (CASPR) concept.
What you'll do:
Coordinate capital reporting and manage capital funding needs
Provide consultation to business areas during project planning phase and monitor projects progress and funding needs throughout the lifecycle of the projects
Perform actuals/budget/forecasting cost allocation and reporting processes
Apply data analytics and develop bank-wide reporting tools and key performance metrics
Support and consult business areas on cost allocation concepts and policies
Possess a detailed understanding of business strategy and finance business
practices including cost allocation, expense and capital forecasting, and financial planning
Required Experience + Traits:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other related fields
Typically requires 2+ years of related work experience in financial planning and analysis
Knowledge of financial planning and analysis development, reporting, and modeling
Knowledge of corporate cost accounting and project management/accounting
Proficiency in Workday and Adaptive preferred
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products and data visualization tools
Ability to think creatively and be inventive within the context of financial modeling, analytics, and strategic presentations
Ability to exercise strong judgement with sensitive/confidential data
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders
Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent priority setting skills with the flexibility and adaptability to respond to
shifting business needs and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Base Salary Range: Min: $78,200.00 - Mid: $101,700.00 - Max: $124,900.00 (Location: San Francisco)
Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
