Job Description:

HVAC/BAS Systems Technician - Technician II

Primary responsibility is delivering Building Automation System projects.

This position is a field-based position where you may perform any number of roles. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers in delivery of any of the following project components...system design/review, software, installation, startup, commissioning, and owner training.

The BAS Construction Technician will report directly to the Construction Manager and will be an active participant in the development and implementation of Operations Excellence.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Implement databases, controls sequences, programs, and graphics for new construction and retrofit projects.

• Confirm implementation meets project specifications.

• Commission controls installation and verifies that control sequences meet specifications.

• Complete commissioning reports as proof of controls verification.

• Document installations for as-built control drawings.

• Organize and demonstrate required BAS project sequences to meet commissioning agents' requirements.

• Represent the company by serving as direct customer contact.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of field experience in the HVAC controls industry; preferably with troubleshooting, maintenance, and service

• Technical, hands-on experience with commissioning and programming of DDC controls.

• Knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.

• The ability to communicate technical material to a nontechnical audience

• Proficiency with writing code for controller sequence of operations

• Proficiency with integration protocols (Bacnet, Lonworks, Modbus, etc)

Requirements:

• Two-year (2) degree in a related technical field required or related work experience

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and general windows environment

• Excellent customer service skills

• Excellent verbal and written skills

• Customer-focused, results-oriented professional, and strong team player.

• Self-starter that demonstrates initiative.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.
