Job Description:

The first 3 letters in workplace safety are Y-O-U!TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Buyer I in Middleton & Germantown, TN Responsible for inventory planning, purchasing, management and reconciliation to maintain continuity of supplies. Identify trends and problems by conducting root cause analysis then recommend and assist in the implementation of cost reductions and process improvements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Consistently performs monthly inventory management target.


• Performs inventory planning, purchasing, management and reconciliation to maintain continuity of supply.


• Create and distribute Purchase Orders (PO's) to vendors.


• Requisition and order materials and products, and assist with pricing, invoicing, tracking and processing of orders to
  support production.


• Identify and solve problems by conducting root cause analysis.


• Identify, recommend and assist in the implementation of cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.


• Perform forecast analysis to strategically plan inventory.


• Conduct physical inventory annually.


• Adhere to the Office 6S principles.


• Participate in cross-functional efforts.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or Finance highly preferred


• High School or equivalent required


• One to three years of purchasing and planning experience in a lean manufacturing environment required.


• Strong analytical skills required.


• Basic knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings of component parts required.


• Must be familiar with engineering change processes, bill of materials, company parts and products.


• Solid written and oral communication skills essential for the role.


• Demonstrated ability to perform multiple functions in a fast paced environment.


• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.


• Must be organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple projects.
