Job Description:

Ardurra is seeking an experienced GIS Specialist to join our Houston, TX team.

Trained GIS Specialist to work with engineers on large-scale construction projects.  Uses GIS tools to gather and convert data for GIS mapping, research and analyze data records, plot maps for projects, and update database to ensure engineers have the most current mapping information available.  At least five years of experience working with GIS and is proficient in ArcView, Arc Info, ArcMap, and other similar products.

Primary Duties

• Utilize GIS tools to gather data.


• Convert data for GIS mapping.


• Analyze data records to assist senior engineers.


• Update company database.


• Plot maps.

Education and Experience Requirements

• GIS certificate; bachelor’s degree in GIS, civil engineering, or a related field preferred.


• 5+ years of experience working with GIS.


• Proficient with ArcView, Arc Info, ArcMap and other ESRI products.


• Excellent organization and communication skills.


• Attention to detail.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
